adhesive, snow and change

we here we are over mid way through february and i have nothing accomplished. i still have not scrapped. I actually wanted to for the first time in months. got a bunch of my stuff out and to my surprise {sort of} i was out of adhesive!! we had a snow storm last night and there is no school today and i am home from work and i have nothing what so ever to do. i am bored out of my stinking mind! this just really really sucks.

so now for the changes part. four years ago when i really got into scrapping i found a great site with amazing woman who quickly became my friends. it was home! it where i could come to talk and ask for advice and post the layouts that i had created and be with great people. then the site got sold. it was hard, i don't like change very much. but it was ok, still the same core of people for the most part. but then the site got sold again. this time though it felt even more different. things were definetly not the same anymore. i was barely logging on or participating in anything anymore, it just had a different feel to it. so i came around less and less. then i got an word from a friend about some stuff that was going down and i just could not believe it! i was shocked! there were alot of hurtful things that happened to the DT that was at the sight but it was also a slap in the face to the members who called this place home for such a long time.

**THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION** basically from what i understand, the part that bothers me the most, is that if we weren't going to buy from her store than we were not really welcome to chat and post our layouts. she was not going to support us if we didn't spend our money with her. well frankly, i think her store sucks. nothing in there appeals to me for the price that she wants us to pay. i have certain stores that i only buy from. that is just the way that i feel. i like being able to go to store and get the majority of what i want from one place. i would occasionally go to the store and check it out but i could never find what i wanted or the lines that i really like. this was never really and issue with the original owner...even though I happily bought her kits...because i wanted to! never because it was pushed on me!

so when i heard about that my friends were heading elsewhere....what else was i to do but go also! all i have to say is WOW! to our new home! these woman have taken many of us on and made us feel welcome and the transition was so easy you would think we have been there for years! these friendships will continue to go on and we are all together. AND I LOVE THE NEW SITE'S STORE! --maybe i should order some adhesive!

i am so frustrated with myself right now. i haven't scrapped in sooooo many months. Here it is the first of february and i have ZERO pages done! i just have not had the time to get to anything. it's to the point that i am just so frustrated that i don't even know where to begin. just a fast vent!

Hello 2008

wow! 2007 is over and i can't say that i was sad to see it go! it was definetly a rough year for us but it's looking like things are on the up side for now! It wasn't all bad, we did have alot of good times! but i am ready for a change. i feel like i have not blogged in forever....my last update was SEPTEMBER! I am even more behind on my scrapping then ever before. it is just soooo overwhelming that i don't know where to begin. i'm still not even finished my wedding album! there is just so much to do. i need to get organized and really get back into it! when i went back and looked at my 2007 picture file i was shocked. i knew i took ALOT of pictures but i went through each folder and added up what was in there....OMG.....i took 8000+ pictures in a year! that is 8000 that are just sitting on my external hard drive, not printed, not scrapped....nothing! talk about overwhelming! My goal is within the next week to get my scraproom back in order and organized so i know what i have and what i need and slowly ease my way back into it. hopefully soon i will have some pictures to put up of newly created scrapbook pages!!!!

oh my time flies!

all i can say is wow! i can not believe the last time i posted it was June!!! it's not almost October! probably the last time i posted was also the last time i scrapped. we had such a huge busy summer. it was a blast though and the kids had such a great time. we didn't do a real vacation instead we did alot of little day trips with the kids. we went to Hershey park, Baltimore, wildwood, the renaissance faire, and alot more. i took so many pictures over the summer. Believe it or not when i counted them all up including the fourth of July i have over 6000 pictures!!!!

in my last post the kids had just finished school and now they have been back for almost a month. time really does fly when you are having fun. things have not calmed down at all, in fact i think they have only gotten more hectic. i now have two playing football. Michael has played for 6 years and now Matthew is playing and he loves it!!! i am sooooo proud of him. he is doing great.

we are going to be taking one last big trip for the year in a few weeks. we are going to Salem Massachusetts so that the kids can see the renactment of the witch trials. i am so excited to go. i have never been to the new england area and I can not wait to go. so i know that will be alot more pictures right there.

a few days ago i even started scrapping again. I am still working on the wedding album. it seems like it will never get done at this rate! but i am very happy with the way it is turning out.

summer kick off

we had an extremly busy weekend! The boys finished up school on friday, they both did really really well on their report cards and i am very proud of them! On saturday we went to Walk With Me to benefit Easter Seals. I got to see my nephew walk for the first time! It was an amazing moment for our family!!

On sunday, scott and I took the kids to the Delaware Blue Rocks Game. It was sooo much fun and we had a great time, it was just sooooooo stinking hot!!!

so then after the game we came home and went swimming to cool off!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

It's memorial day weekend. We don't really have anything to exciting planned, just hanging around the house. Scott and my dad started to clean out the pool so that hopefully by next weekend we will be ready to go swimming. We also sat down and planned out what we are doing this summer, it's going to be a busy one! For both Scott and I, every year we ALWAYS go to the jersey shore {wildwood} and after 27+ years, you can only take wildwood so many times before it just becomes boring. So instead of spending a week down the shore we decided to take a bunch of little day trips to places. We are going to a Delaware Blue Rocks game, Hershey Park, Baltimore Inner Harbor, etc. This way we have a bunch of fun stuff to do instead of just one week. It's all basically planned for june and july because Michael starts football practice August 1 and from then on, it's all football all the time! Yesterday we took the kids to the Philadelphia Zoo. It was HOT!!! we felt like we were dying, it was soooo darn hot, it was over 93! But the kids had a great time and it really gave me a chance to play with my camera that scott and the kids got me for mother's day. It was kind of frustrating because I am use to a manual point and shoot and wasn't sure exactly how to use all the different setting on the camera. It was kind of intimidating. Some of my pictures came out really really dark and then some of them were sooooo bright that they looked funky! I will have to continue to play with it until I get the hang of how to change everything around. But here are some of the pictures from the zoo!

I've scrapped {and it wasn't wedding pictures}

Scott and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary yesterday! I can't believe a year has passed already. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. We've been really busy all week {running all over the place with the kids}. I did manage to get a two page layout done, and it wasn't wedding pictures! I needed a break from them. I felt like I was rushing through them too fast and didn't really like the outcome of the last few that I did.

But I love the layout I did of michael from the homerun derby last weekend. I finally got to use my 3 bugs shooting stars paper! It looked great with the baseball pictures!
